With the client being a fan of firearms—particularly Heckler & Koch—this project offered a fun and distinctly different challenge. Unlike many of my other builds, which often emphasize narrative and storytelling, this model focused purely on accurate logo replication. The primary goal was to capture the exact weight, proportion, and spatial relationships between the letters in the H&K logo, honoring the precision that goes into professional brand design.
The construction is based around a 3x3 stud grid, which provided the ideal balance between prominence and practicality. This size allowed the model to remain compact while still offering enough room to accurately depict the typography—especially the angled upper leg of the "K." Careful attention was given to ensure this angle fit cleanly within the block space and aligned precisely with the height of the right leg of the "H" and the vertical stroke of the "K." Achieving these alignments was key to maintaining the logo’s visual integrity.
The design process centered on replicating the logo with proportional accuracy while integrating a few interesting LEGO techniques to keep the build engaging. As a final touch, three different BrickArms weapons—each representing a real Heckler & Koch firearm—were mounted as embellishments. These can be easily removed by swapping the connection points from jumper plates to standard tiles, allowing the model to shift between a clean display version and a more personalized, detail-rich variation.
