The client for this model requested a bouquet of peonies to be made to give as a gift to their recipient for a special occasion. Rather than just wanting fully grown peonies, they also wanted to have some smaller peonies and bulbs included within the bouquet for it to appear even fuller. Larger leaf elements around the base also help to create a fullness to the model.

The most exciting part of this design was getting to build the model and slowly watch the vase become even more filled out as different colors of peonies get added into the larger creation. Each peony utilizes a very similar technique while the color ways vary much more with the different foliage elements used to create lighter or darker shaded petals, all wrapped by the larger shell elements (Part ID: 18970).
