In this Episode of LEGO MASTERS, Michael and I chose to pick the electric guitar for the prominence and how eye catching of a piece it was in the room. Capturing this out of brick proved much more difficult than we anticipated! The third and final version of the body of the guitar is what we went with, and luckily enough, had just enough time to complete our build.

As hindsight is 20/20, this object was probably ‍the opposite of what we should have done for this challenge. With the goal being to hide within the bedroom as much as possible and blend in, a brightly colored object towards the front of the room with nothing obscurring it makes the stakes that much higher!

The guitar was picked out about 14 seconds into the guessing portion, and Mark Erikson continued to guess four out of the five builds correctly hidden within the room. Despite being the first object found, Michael and I placed second in this challenge.

Challenge Description:

We're hitting my high school bedroom, where your job is to select an item and build a 1:1 replica of it using LEGO bricks. And you can totally pick whatever you want!

In the end, we will replace my stuff with your brick-built items and see if a very specical guest can determine is it real, or is it brick.

So today is all about fooling the eye. You need to make a1:1 replica from Will's bedroom so you have to choose wisely. Ambition is important if you want to impress us. And at this stage in the compeition you want to impress us.

And if you want to do that, think about how you want to use color and textures to really make it feel like a believe able item. And of course, capture those key details that will take your build from brick to reality.
